Superintendent Daryl Kubilus has an update for parents on the start of the 2021-22 school year -- including the Return-to-School plan to be released Aug. 5 and information about online learning options.

Medina County Health Department School immunization clinics Aug. 10, 12
Cloverleaf is partnering with the Medina County Health Department to host Tdap and meningitis vaccine clinics for students entering 7th and 12th grades for the 2021-22 school year. The clinics will be held at the Chatham Community Center on Aug. 10 and at Cloverleaf Middle School on Aug. 12.

Volleyball Sign up for CMS volleyball open gyms / conditioning
Cloverleaf Middle School volleyball players: Get ready for the upcoming season! Open gyms and conditioning begin July 1 at the Cloverleaf Community Recreation Center. Though not mandatory, they will help players prepare for tryouts in August.

Little Free Library 6th-grader Madelynn Crist starts Little Free Library
Out of last fall’s remote learning came “Genius Hour,” and out of Genius Hour came a Little Free Library on Lodi’s village square -- thanks to a community collaboration and the inspiration of Cloverleaf Middle School sixth-grader Madelynn Crist.
 
CMS Team FIESTA Bravacado! Team FIESTA wins OMLA Award
Ohio Middle Level Association has recognized Cloverleaf Middle School's Team FIESTA for its exemplary work that serves as a model for aspiring educators and for other middle schools. Eighth-grade teachers Brian Shaeffer, Monica Borsani, Julie Gunkelman, Andrea Riley and Erin Sholtis will receive the award May 6 at OMLA’s annual conference in Sandusky.

 
Becky Shaw Mrs. Shaw earns statewide honor
In recognition of her role in fostering a positive environment for student learning at CMS, Cafeteria Manager Becky Shaw has been recognized with the 2020 Support Staff of the Year Award from the Ohio Middle Level Association. Mrs. Shaw will receive the honor May 6 at OMLA’s annual conference in Sandusky.
 
Traffic cones Campus traffic flow due to construction
The parking lot in front of Gene Clark Stadium is closed to cars due to the stadium renovation project. There is a new traffic flow for buses and parent vehicles during middle school student pick-up and drop-off. The softball field parking lot across Buffham Road also is unavailable for spectator and parent parking.
 
Stethoscope Free sports/work physicals for students
The Free Clinic of Medina County is offering free physicals to any middle or high school student who needs one for work, sports or camp, regardless of financial need. Cloverleaf students can schedule their physicals at Lodi Hospital.

If your family could use assistance with meals during the COVID-19 pandemic, please contact your child's school or Feeding Medina County. Resources are available to help.
