The Cloverleaf Home Run Club will host a Night at The Races fundraising event on Jan. 31 at the Medina Eagles to help out the Cloverleaf High School baseball program.

Attendance for the event has exceeded the capacity of the VFW hall in Chatham, so the club has secured the Medina Eagles party room at 696 Lafayette Road in Medina, which will allow for a maximum of 500 people.

The doors will open at 5 p.m. for various activities, with dinner to be served at 6 p.m. The horse races will follow the dinner. Tickets are $20 per person, and include a dinner and beverages.

Make sure you bring some extra spending money for the 50/50 raffle, the silent auction baskets, side boards, and, of course, the horse races!

Every year, the baseball team raises money for items such as equipment, uniforms, player preparation and field maintenance. This event not only helps with the program’s needs, but it also helps bring everyone together for a common cause.

“The Night at the Races fundraiser is a great evening,” assistant coach Nick Romanoff said. “The support we receive from the community is outstanding. Without the community, none of our success would be possible.”

Head Coach Nick Ogurchak already has planned a special event for the baseball team.

“The Night of The Races will also help pay for a preseason trip to West Virginia to scrimmage a local team,” Ogurchak said.

The coaches usually get 10-15 sponsors a year, but their goal this year will be 20.

If you would like to attend, sponsor a horse, or place an ad in the program, email [email protected] or see the CHS coaches or players.

Don't miss out on a great night of food, raffles, horse races, and action-packed fun. Grab your friends and attend this year’s Night at the Races.
