New elementary school co-principal

Michael T. Moody has been named the new co-principal of Cloverleaf Elementary School beginning with the 2017-18 academic year, following approval of his three-year contract by the Cloverleaf Board of Education at its May 8 meeting. He will succeed elementary school Co-Principal Bob Falkenberg, who is retiring at the end of the current school year following 19 years of service to Cloverleaf.

Moody currently is principal at Mifflin Elementary School of Madison Local Schools in Richland County. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Education (2004) and a Master of Arts in Education (2012), both from the University of Akron. In his education career, Moody has served as a seventh-grade science teacher, a seventh- and eighth-grade intervention specialist, a fifth-grade teacher, and an eighth-grade science teacher. He was selected from a large pool of qualified applicants following a rigorous interview process led by Cloverleaf teachers and administrators.

At Cloverleaf Elementary School, which has approximately 1,100 students, Moody will serve as principal of the preschool program, grade four and grade five. Co-Principal Karen Martin will serve as principal of kindergarten and grades first through third.

“Michael Moody brings a resume of great administrative experience to our Cloverleaf family,” said Superintendent Daryl Kubilus. “His track record of school improvement and ability to create a great learning environment for kids will be welcomed attributes for our new leader.”
