Congratulations to the winner of the CES Spelling Bee: 4th-grader Delaney Ames, pictured here with her parents, Elizabeth and Trevor! Delaney correctly spelled the word "bracken" (a type of large fern, in case you were wondering) in the 11th round for the win. Cloverleaf High School’s Robotics Team is proud to co-host the Lodi Family Center Cloverleaf Qualifier, a FIRST® Tech Challenge tournament, alongside the Lodi Community Center’s team.

The tournament takes place Feb. 14 at Cloverleaf High School, with doors opening at 7:15 a.m. and opening ceremonies beginning at 9:40 a.m. It marks the first time Cloverleaf High School has hosted an FTC tournament.

A record-breaking 32 teams from across Ohio are expected to compete, making this the largest FTC qualifier in the state this season. Student teams design, build and program robots throughout the year to face off in head-to-head matches.

CMS 7th- and 8th-graders competed in the Power of the Pen district tournament last weekend, where the 7th-grade team placed 1st overall, with Kaelie Logar earning 1st place and Sadie Conklin taking 3rd. Congratulations! On to regionals! Good luck!
