Wifi

The wifi system on the Cloverleaf campus is designed to support the instructional needs of students and staff. During the school day, users are spread throughout the district in small groups, making use of multiple wifi access points.

Visitors who come to our campus for athletic contests, musical performances, theater productions, high school graduation and other events, will experience much slower internet service when utilizing guest wifi. That’s because large numbers of users, concentrated in one location, are making use of a system designed to serve smaller numbers of users spread throughout the district. That leads to slow internet speeds during large events, especially when visitors are attempting to share photos and videos.

In addition, Cloverleaf’s schools are designed to high standards of energy efficiency, which means cellular signals do not easily penetrate the shells of our buildings. As a result, cell service is much slower inside our schools than it might be at home or outside.

The wifi systems many of us enjoy in public spaces, like theaters and sports arenas, are designed to accommodate hundreds or thousands of users at one time – and are highly expensive. Our district is committed to concentrating its taxpayer-provided resources on the educational needs of our students. We’re grateful for your understanding and for the Cloverleaf community’s unwavering support of its kids.
