Cloverleaf Elementary School students Brooklynn Baker and Trent Firebaugh were among just 12 statewide winners in the Fire Safety Poster Contest sponsored by the Ohio State Fire Marshal. Brooklynn won in the kindergarten to second grade division and Trent won in the grades 3-5 division.
In addition to ribbons and certificates, each received a smoke alarm and a laminated copy of their poster. On hand to make the awards were state Fire Safety Educator Angela Potter, Westfield Fire and Rescue Chief Richard Fletcher, and Westfield firefighter/EMTs Hannah Yurich and DeAnte Taylor.
