Sanyuka Community Concert
The Ugandan children’s choir Sanyuka brings the sounds of African culture to the Cloverleaf community at 7 p.m. on Sept. 16 in the Cloverleaf High School gym. The choir will be joined by Cloverleaf elementary, middle school and high school students -- along with Superintendent Daryl Kubilus on saxophone.

“Sanyuka” is a Luganda word that means “rejoice.” The choir shares a message of hope through its performance of authentic African music using traditional instruments. Sanyuka was formed to develop young talent, while at the same time creating awareness of Africa’s vulnerable children. The stories the choir will share are real and represent thousands of other children in similar circumstances.

The concert is free and open to the public.

Cloverleaf High School is located at 8525 Friendsville Road in Westfield Township.
