It's official! Seventeen Cloverleaf High School students have been named AP Scholars by The College Board in recognition for their exceptional achievement on college-level advanced placement (AP) exams. Four of this year's AP scholars are earning the distinction for a second year.*
Grace Schmitt* qualified for the AP Scholar with Distinction award for earning an average score of at least 3.5 on all AP Exams taken and grades of 3 or higher on five or more exams.
Two students qualified for the AP Scholar with Honor Award by earning an average score of at least 3.25 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on four or more exams. The students are: Bailey Freeland* and Trystan Turpin.
Fourteen students qualified for the AP Scholar Award by receiving scores of 3 or higher on three or more AP Exams. The AP Scholars are: Riley Benko, Samuel Brandt, Caitlin Brown, Katie Canfield, Anne Casey, Angela Cassady, George Gillespie*, Olivia McMaster, Cameron McNeal*, Diana Rice, Adithya Tirumalasetty, Frank Vallant, Victoria Wallace, and Tyler Webb.
In addition to these accomplishments, CHS had eleven students score a perfect 5 on an AP exam.
Cloverleaf High School is proud of its 12 AP course offerings and our 130 students who took on the challenge of this most rigorous coursework during the 2018-2019 school year. For the 2019-2020 school year, 118 students are taking at least one AP course.
Students who take AP can earn college credit, are generally the best prepared for college coursework, and position themselves well for admission to more selective colleges. We are Cloverleaf Proud of ALL of our scholars.
