Colts finish 8th in Div. II state meet


CHS girls cross country team

Congratulations to the CHS girls cross country team as it finished third out of 20 teams at the Oct. 31 Div. II Regional in Boardman to qualify for the 43rd-Annual OHSAA State Girls Cross Country Meet at 1 p.m. Nov. 7 in Obetz.

Sophia Spencer led the way with a third-place finish in 19:55.  Alyssa Stoner was 11th; Maria Porras came in 43rd; followed by Megan Knapp in 50th and Paige Munchick in 51st places.  Allison Yagersz and Brooke Gucker also ran in the race for the Colts.  Congratulations to the team and Coach Gucker and Coach Ryan on an incredible season and accomplishment!

The boys team proudly completed its season by finishing 10th at regionals as Luke Malena was 44th, Brett Gucker finished 50th, Nolan Freeland was 56th, and Andrew Hibler crossed in 61st.  Vova Herdman, Nathan Naples and Hunter Stallings also ran for Cloverleaf. Congratulations on a great season!
