Cloverleaf High School is the only high school in the state of Ohio to win a 2020 OSCAR Award from the Ohio School Counselor Association.

The Ohio School Counselor Accountability Report Award recognizes excellence in communicating to stakeholders the vital work performed by school counseling offices. School counselors are educators with master's degrees, who work with the entire student population on their academic, career and personal/social development in collaboration with parents, teachers and administrators.

“The School Counseling Department at CHS has worked hard to build and maintain a comprehensive school counseling program that includes not only academic and college/career counseling, but a focus on students' social-emotional learning and well-being,” said Principal Jamie Lormeau. “The CHS school counseling team is one to be very proud of.”

To be eligible for the award, entrants must follow a rubric to create a visual representation that demonstrates how the work of school counselors impacts student outcomes and student achievement. The entire report must fit on the front and back of one standard sheet of paper and cover six different areas, including: school climate and safety, student outcomes, community partnerships, and student support personnel. The document is available HERE on the Cloverleaf High School Counseling page.

The OSCAR was awarded to Cloverleaf High School counseling staff by the Ohio School Counselor Association in a brief, socially distanced presentation Oct. 23 at Cloverleaf. Winners also will be recognized at the virtual 2020 All Ohio Counselors Conference Oct. 26-30.
