Campus traffic flow due to construction

Stadium parking lot traffic flow

Dear Cloverleaf Families,

We need your help.

Beginning Tuesday, March 23, the parking lot in front of Gene Clark Stadium will be closed to cars and there will be a new traffic flow for buses and parent vehicles during student pick-up and drop-off. The softball field parking lot across Buffham Road also will be unavailable for spectator and parent parking.

The reason for the change is the start of Phase III of the stadium renovation project. The plan includes installation of new field turf, expansion of the track to a full eight lanes, and the construction of a new concessions complex with restrooms and ticketing windows. It’s an exciting time for Cloverleaf!

Here’s what parents and visitors need to know:

Elementary school pick-up and drop-off: The softball field parking lot will be used for construction worker parking. However, a loop around the perimeter will be maintained for overflow pick-up and drop-off traffic.

Middle school pick-up and drop off: Because the stadium area is closed to cars, parents may only use the middle school’s U-shaped driveway for pick-up and drop-off. In the afternoon, parents who pick up their child may use the perimeter loop of the softball field parking lot (next to the tennis courts) as a waiting area. Once the buses depart, you may enter the U-shaped driveway to pick up your child.

High school and middle school athletic events: Parents and visiting teams attending spring athletic events must park at the high school.

To keep everyone safe, do not stop along the roadway for student pick-up or drop-off. Local law enforcement will be on hand to help with the new traffic flow and to monitor school zone traffic speed.

You can find a map of the new traffic pattern above. Coming soon, you will also find a live camera feed on the district website showing the progress of the stadium renovation.

We recognize this is yet another adjustment for all of us in a year filled with adjustments. We are grateful for your continued patience and flexibility. The payoff for our students and community will be worth it when the stadium renovation is complete!

Thank you!
