Updated cell phone policies at CMS and CHS

Cloverleaf Middle School and Cloverleaf High School have made important additions to their policies on student use of cell phones and mobile devices during the school day. Recognizing the potential use of mobile devices as powerful educational tools without allowing them to become a classroom distraction, buildings have been divided into Technology Zones:

Red Zone: No cell phone or mobile device usage allowed.
Yellow Zone: Usage by the discretion of the staff member in charge.
Green Zone: Usage allowable for all school-appropriate activity.

Cloverleaf Schools emphasizes students should NOT make phone calls from school. It is also important students NOT contact parents to come and pick them up (when they are sick, for example). To keep students safe and to ensure proper documentation when students must leave during the school day, these situations must continue to be handled through the office.

Other existing cell phone policies will continue to be strictly enforced. Please take a moment to read the guidelines in full in the CHS student handbook and in the CMS student handbook.
