In honor of Veterans Day, students in Mrs. Kee’s third-grade class wrote letters to military veterans, thanking them for their service to our country.
Cloverleaf Board of Education member Mr. Schmock (above), a veteran of the Vietnam War, visited the class with his wife Mrs. Schmock to say thank you. Mr. Schmock shared with the students how important it is for them to complete their assignments, saying how much it meant for him to receive the letter. He brought his Purple Heart and military dog tags to show the class.
Student Lily Love wrote her letter to Cloverleaf’s Director of Curriculum and Instruction, Mr. Hevener, who served in the U.S. Army. Mr. Hevener also stopped to visit Lily’s class to personally thank her for her letter.
