Choir joins Christopher Milo for concert

Cloverleaf Middle School choir students will perform with musician and motivational speaker Christopher Milo in a special Celebrate the Freedom Veterans Day concert 2 p.m. Nov. 9 at in the Embassy Suites hotel grand ballroom in Independence.

It’s the first time Milo has invited a school choir to join him in a performance. Milo has been a regular visitor to CMS, where he has shared his “13 Messages” that focus on caring for others and on succeeding together as a community.

CMS students, who auditioned to be part of the choir, have devoted extra rehearsal time to prepare. They will be accompanied by retired elementary music educator Melinda Kline.

"It is an honor and privilege to have been asked and be able to perform with Christopher,” said Angela Leonard, director of choirs at CMS. “Our students have worked tremendously hard to prepare for this concert. I couldn't be more proud of all of them."
