Berchtold and Werner named Students of the Month

Camryn Werner Jacob Berchtold

Junior Camryn Werner and senior Jacob Berchtold have been selected as the Medina Kiwanis October Students of the Month for Cloverleaf High School.

Camryn is ranked 12th out of her class of 184. She has been a member of student council, DARE, National Honor Society and Best Buddies. She has been active in the community -- volunteering on behalf of Feeding Medina County and with Leroy United Methodist Church. Camryn also babysits several hours per week.

She has been a member of varsity softball for two years, varsity football cheerleading for two years, varsity basketball cheerleading for one year, and is also a member of the Cloverleaf girls choir.

Camryn has taken multiple honors courses including English, pre-calculus, algebra 2, biology and chemistry. She is chief editor in journalism and has earned both the Academic Letter and Scholar-Athlete Award each year in high school.

She is the daughter of Bridgett Klein and Tim Werner. She plans to attend college to become a dentist after graduation from Cloverleaf High School.

Jacob Berchtold is ranked 10th out of his class of 221. He has served as treasurer of National Honor Society and president of Swing Choir. Jacob has volunteered his time with the Baptist Youth and National Honor Society.

Jacob is a member of the Academic Challenge team, concert band, marching band, drama club and Swing Choir.

He has taken multiple college courses along with numerous Advanced Placement courses, including AP Calculus, AP U.S. History, AP European History, AP U.S. Government, AP Physics and AP Chemistry.

The son of Brenda and David Berchtold, Jacob plans to attend the University of Akron to study computer engineering.
