2020 preschool screening is April 17

Cloverleaf offers a preschool program for children who are 3 to 5 years of age and have been identified as having a disability in some area of development. A limited number of additional children ages 3 to 5 who have not been identified as having a disability (peer models) will have an opportunity to attend our preschool based on established criteria.

Criteria include:

-- Student must be at least 3 years old by Aug. 1 the year of attendance (Any child who turns 6 years old before Dec. 1 should attend kindergarten.)

-- Student must be fully potty-trained

-- Student must possess strong social and communication skills, be able to follow directions and attend to tasks for five to seven minutes, as well as meet the established district criteria utilizing sections of the Assessment, Evaluation and Programming System Level 1 (birth to 3 years) Curriculum Assessment

Families of typically developing preschoolers will need to pay a fee for their student to attend the program.  Tuition is $1,140 for the school year, which is billed in three-month cycles. A payment of $380 will be due prior to the first day of school to attend. Families will then receive a tuition bill on the first Mondays of November and February to pay for the remaining six months.

Transportation for typically developing peers is provided if the student is picked up / dropped off at a current, established bus stop. Most peers are not transported during the midday route due to limited bus stops.

There may be a lottery process if there is a large number of typical peer model preschoolers wanting to enroll.

Peer model screening will be held on Friday, April 17, 2020.  Those interested should contact Cloverleaf Elementary School at 330-302-0101 to schedule a screening appointment.
