Boltz, Nagy are Students of the Month

Senior Madeline Boltz and junior Benjamin Nagy have been selected as the Medina Kiwanis October Students of the Month for Cloverleaf High School.

Boltz is ranked 48th out of her class of 192. She is a member of student council and D.A.R.E.,  serves as class president, and is the producer and editor-in-chief of the school newspaper. She has earned her academic letter and has taken a variety of College Credit Plus and honors courses. 

Maddie has been involved in various community activities and has volunteered her time with Cloverleaf Youth Girls Basketball, Cloverleaf youth track, the Todd Clark Cross Country Invitational, and Red Cross blood drives. Boltz is also employed by Amy’s Daycare and The Oaks Lakeside. 

Boltz was a member of the freshman volleyball team, then earned multiple varsity letters as a member of the varsity golf team (two years), basketball team (four years), and track and field team (three years). She has received the Pete Dawes Memorial Citizenship Award, was First Team All-Conference 4x200 relay in track, MVP in sprints for Cloverleaf, eighth place at the Lexington Regionals in track, and has twice been selected as the Cloverleaf High School Student of the Month and once as the Student of the Year. 

Maddie is the daughter of Sally and Greg Boltz. She plans to attend college after graduation.

Benjamin Nagy has taken numerous honors, Advanced Placement, and College Credit Plus courses in all core areas of English, science, math and history.  

Nagy has taken an active leadership role in his school through student council, Emerald Key, the Student Leadership Team, 4-H, E4 Youth Summit, the Christian fellowship group Impact, and National Honor Society.  

Benjamin is employed by Skypark Airport and has volunteered additional hours at Grace Church, Young Eagles Day, Kelli’s Crusade, and spends time with students with special needs in Best Buddies.

He has been a member of the cross country team, marching band, and is first chair in the clarinet section of Wind Ensemble.

Nagy, a multi-year Cloverleaf Student of the Month, has been awarded the Top Scholar Award, Top Band Award, the Presidential Scholarship, Academic Letters, the Pete Dawes Award, and a Scholarship for EAA Air Academy.

The son of Kathy and Edward Nagy, Ben plans to earn a business degree at the University of Akron, and would then like to obtain a commercial pilot’s license and fly for American Airlines.
