AC team qualifies for state

CHS Academic Challenge team

The Cloverleaf High School Academic Challenge team is headed to the Ohio Academic Competition state finals May 13 in Columbus after finishing as runner-up in the OAC Northeast Regional Playoffs hosted at Cloverleaf High School May 6. The top two teams from each of six regional playoffs across the state qualify to compete at the championship tournament, placing Cloverleaf among the top 12 OAC teams in Ohio.

Both the varsity and junior varsity Academic Challenge teams earned 2017 league championships in the Portage Trail Conference earlier this year. The Colts also earned a berth in the National Academic Quiz Tournaments’ 2017 National High School Championship May 26-28 in Atlanta. The Cloverleaf Middle School Academic Challenge team competes in the NAQT National Middle School Championship tournament May 12-14 in Dallas.
