Getting your child ready for school involves more than just purchasing new school supplies and clothes. It also involves updating immunizations, making appointments for routine screening tests, and informing the school of any health issues your child may have.
All daycare centers, preschools and schools require proof of vaccination for children to attend. Your teen may need shots too. Vaccines for pertussis, meningitis and cervical cancer are recommended. In these challenging economic times, it’s also important for parents to know that no child is denied immunizations due to inability to pay.
Keep track with a handy back-to-school health checklist. Click HERE to find the checklist and more at the Medina County Health Department home page.
